NCT WISH, "Addictive 'Tururututu' Hook"…Time to Enjoy the Stage at KSPO Dome
by. ymchoi

NCT WISH stepped onto the KSPO Dome, often called the dream stage for idols. It marks a milestone achieved just two years after debut. The group now looks to solidify its position with its first full-length album, blending their signature refreshing charm with warmer emotions.

On April 19, NCT WISH held a press conference at KSPO Dome in Seoul's Olympic Park to celebrate their first concert tour "Into the Wish: Our Wish Encore in Seoul."

Sion shared, "It feels unreal that we were able to stand on this stage sooner than expected. We want to sincerely thank our fans, NCTzens, who made this possible." Jaehee added, "When I first heard we'd perform here, I couldn't believe it." Sakuya also expressed gratitude, saying, "We're so happy to perform at such a big venue."

Stronger Through the Tour

This concert marks the 33rd stop of the "Our Wish" tour. The members have built experience through numerous live performances across countries and regions, showing noticeable growth in both vocals and performance.

Riku reflected, "During last year's 'Login' tour, we were very nervous and didn't have much room to interact with fans. Now, we can make eye contact and communicate on stage." Sion added, "Our teamwork has grown stronger. Whether on stage or during schedules, everything feels more enjoyable. We believe we're still growing."

"Ode to Love," A Familiar Yet Fresh Sound

Their new track "Ode to Love" samples "Ode to My Family" by The Cranberries, a song widely recognized in Korea as background music from the comedy show "Gag Concert." NCT WISH reinterpreted the original's iconic humming motif.

Jaehee recalled, "When I first heard the demo, it immediately reminded me of 'Gag Concert.' It's a familiar and addictive melody that many people can easily follow."

Sion also contributed ideas for the choreography, particularly the "tururututu" hook in the chorus. He explained, "It's the most addictive part, so I thought the choreography was important. I shared about four to five ideas with the company."

Ryo described the track as "a warm message about delivering kindness in a cold world," adding that while it maintains their refreshing style, it carries a slightly more unique tone this time.

First Reveal and Future Goals

The group unveiled the stage for "Ode to Love" for the first time during the encore concert. Sion said, "We worked really hard on it, so we were curious about fans' reactions. I was very nervous during the first performance, but hearing their cheers and applause made me feel proud."

Looking ahead, Sakuya expressed a new goal: "Although it's only been two years since our debut, we've already performed at arenas in Japan. We haven't performed at a dome there yet, so we hope to hold a dome concert in Japan next."

Meanwhile, NCT WISH will hold the final show of their Seoul encore concert on April 19 at 4 PM. Their first full-length album "Ode to Love" is set for release on April 20.
