"From survival show eliminations to being a project group, and even member changes… we've gone through major transitions. That's why we prepared even harder for this comeback."
EVNNE was originally formed with contestants from "Boys Planet." Although they did not make the final Top 9, they debuted as a derivative group. Now, they are stepping into a new chapter.
The group is becoming the first survival show-derived act to transition into an official group. They reorganized from seven members to five and are returning with songs fully written and composed by all members.
Lee Jeong-hyun shared, "With fewer members, each person's role feels more important. That's why we prepared with the mindset of stepping up more actively together."
Stronger as Five
EVNNE delivered a powerful stage that left no sense of absence. Their music is equally intense, featuring bold lyrics such as "spit it out," "unfair criticism," "manipulation," and "elimination," reflecting self-referential themes. Their solid live performance further amplified the impact.
Moon Jeong-hyun said, "I was very nervous, but I trusted the members who have always done well. We encouraged each other, saying, 'Let's not be nervous and just do our best like we always have.'"
EVNNE held a showcase on April 20 at Myunghwa Live Hall in Yeongdeungpo, Seoul, celebrating the release of its first single album "Backtalk."
