Rookie girl group UNCHILD has made a bold debut in the K-pop scene. Armed with free-spirited energy and uninhibited performances, they are determined to capture the industry's attention.
This is the first multinational group under High Up Entertainment. It marks the agency's first debut in six years since STAYC. The six members, each with distinct backgrounds and personalities, showcase the group's diverse color.
Hiki shared her debut impressions, saying, "All six of us have been running toward this moment. I'm happy to be on the stage of my dreams. I still can't believe it."
UNCHILD held a media showcase on April 21st at Blue Square Our WON Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul to celebrate the release of their debut single "We Are UNCHILD."

The group name "UNCHILD" originates from the prefix "UN-," meaning "not ordinary." It reflects their ambition to transcend conventional boundaries and channel their individual personalities into energy.
The group consists of six members: Park Ye-eun, Hiki, Evone, and Na Ha-eun from South Korea; Ako from Japan; and Tina from China. This multinational composition creates a multidimensional team color through their diverse perspectives.
Na Ha-eun is recognizable to the public as "Awesome Ha-eun," a YouTuber with 5 million subscribers. Park Ye-eun also gained recognition through Mnet's "I-Land 2." Combined with other distinctive members, the group achieves full synergy.
Na Ha-eun stated, "Unlike when I danced alone, coordinating with the members is incredibly fulfilling. While there's pressure, I'm taking it as positive motivation. I want to show growth as an idol Na Ha-eun."
Support from senior artists has been instrumental. Tina shared, "During the music video shoot, STAYC's Yoon sunbae sent us a coffee truck and a letter. Producer Rado also offered sincere advice to each member individually."

Their debut single "We Are UNCHILD" announces their arrival. The album contains two tracks: the title song "UNCHILD" and the B-side "ENERGY."
The release embodies UNCHILD's identity. Park Ye-eun described it as "an invitation card introducing the group UNCHILD for the first time."
The title track "UNCHILD" is an electronic pop song blending raw guitar riffs with psychedelic sounds. It carries the message of overcoming the barrier of fear and advancing into a new world.
The B-side "ENERGY" combines house-based rhythms with bright synth sounds, expressing the thrill and impulse of encountering a new world through UNCHILD's unique language.
Hiki pointed out, "The highlight is the part where we shout 'ENERGY!' just before the chorus. By pronouncing 'ENERGY' a certain way, we express an inexhaustible strength."

UNCHILD performed the title track during the showcase. They commanded the stage with a composure unusual for rookies. Members delivered stable live vocals using hand microphones.
The choreography's key point is striking. During the chorus line "We Are UNCHILD," members spread their arms in a door-opening motion, symbolizing UNCHILD opening the doors to a new world.
Na Ha-eun and Hiki directly participated in choreography production, creating what they call the "Move aside!" performance—a synchronized move where members bend down and then raise their heads forcefully, delivering impact through facial expressions.
Na Ha-eun reflected, "I had many concerns due to limited choreography experience, but we prepared all night with the mindset of trying everything we wanted. I'm especially pleased that my favorite section was chosen."

They expressed affection for their fanbase, "Cha-Cha." On April 20th, they released a fan song where members participated in planning via PowerPoint presentation, lyric writing, and beat production before debut.
They conveyed their determination. Hiki stated, "All preparations are complete now. We're ready to do anything we're asked to do. We want to challenge anything."
Park Ye-eun emphasized, "We will be a team that gracefully overcomes the barrier of fear and become a group that puts a strong exclamation mark on the world."
UNCHILD will release "We Are UNCHILD" across various music streaming platforms on April 21st at 6 PM.
