[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] Lucas from 'NCT' has parted ways with SM Entertainment.

SM Entertainment posted a notice on fan communication platform 'Weverse' on the 24th with the title 'Regarding the end of Lucas's exclusive contract.'

Lucas's exclusive contract ended on that day. The company said, "We will cherish the time we have built with Lucas and support his new challenges."

The agency also left a message for fans. SM Entertainment wrote, "We ask that fans also watch Lucas's new start with warm eyes. Thank you."

Lucas debuted with 'NCT U' in 2018. He later engaged in activities with WayV and SuperM. He gained popularity for his attractive visuals.

However, in 2021 he became embroiled in personal life controversy. Netizens claiming to be his ex-girlfriend continued with intense allegations. Eventually he left the group in 2023.

At the time, Lucas said, "I believe this choice is a decision for everyone," and "I want to gather courage for my fans and pursue individual activities."

After leaving the group, he pursued solo activities. In 2024 he released his first solo single 'Renegade.' He also held fan concert tours.
