[Dispatch=Myung Ju Lee] ENA's Monday-Tuesday drama 'Scarecrow' is showing an upward trend in viewership ratings.
'Scarecrow' (written by Lee Ji-hyun, directed by Park Jun-woo) episode 3 aired on the 28th. Based on Nielsen Korea's count, the viewership rating that day was 5.0% on a national average.
It ranked first among programs broadcast during the same time slot. A steady upward trend is evident. Despite the channel's limitations, the viewership rating nearly doubled in just three episodes.
Episode 3 depicted the situation following Kang Tae-joo's (played by Park Hae-soo) assault incident. He requested Cha Si-young (played by Lee Hee-joon) to conduct a final search operation, using a resignation letter as collateral.
Ultimately, the victim's remains, which had been missing, were found. As promised, he stepped down from his position as the detective in charge of the serial murder case and left Kangseong Police Station.
Most notably, the ending was shocking. Minji Kim (played by Kim Hwan-hee), a female high school student who was the victim's friend, was discovered as a victim once again. This became the reason for the mission of his life.
It was an acting showcase by the cast. Park Hae-soo directed a bewildered gaze at the victim who had become a cold corpse. The acting of Kim Hwan-hee, who played the high school student, was also high-caliber.
Meanwhile, 'Scarecrow' is the story of a detective investigating a murder case who unexpectedly partners with someone he despises. It airs every Monday and Tuesday at 10 p.m.
