[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju] Disney+ series 'Made in Korea' returns with season 2.
The Walt Disney Company Korea announced on the 28th that "'Made in Korea Season 2' (screenplay by Park Eun-gyo, directed by Woo Min-ho, hereinafter 'Maingo 2') will be released in the second half of this year."
'Maingo 2' is a sequel to 'Made in Korea'. While the previous season dealt with the 1970s, this season unfolds against the backdrop of nine years later.
The characters have become more vicious. Alongside Baek Ki-tae (played by Hyun Bin), who stands at the pinnacle of power, Jang Gun-young (played by Jeong Woo-sung) and Baek Ki-hyun (played by Woo Do-hwan) recklessly unleash their desires.
Related first look stills were also released. The three exude a deeper aura. In particular, the sharp confrontation between brothers Baek Ki-hyun and Baek Ki-tae raised curiosity further.
The production team said "'Maingo 2' is an all-out war between these characters that has become more explicit and dangerous," and added that it will "solidify its status as an anticipated Korean drama in 2026."
Meanwhile, the release date for 'Maingo 2' has not yet been decided. It is scheduled for the second half of this year.
