[Dispatch=Reporter Min Ji Gu] fromis_9's Jiwon will become the lead of a musical.

Ascend announced on the 28th, "Jiwon has confirmed her first musical work," and "She has confirmed her role as the protagonist 'Allie' in 'Hell's Kitchen,' which opens in July."

'Hell's Kitchen' is a work inspired by the music and life of American singer-songwriter Alicia Keys. It depicts the growth of a girl finding her own life and voice.

The work has been nominated for 13 categories at the Tony Awards since its opening in 2024, and won the 2025 Grammy Award for 'Best Musical Theater Album.'

Jiwon is expected to captivate audiences with her attractive vocal color and singing ability. She recently performed "Hear I Am," the OST from the drama 'God's Law Firm,' and received positive reviews.

An official said, "Jiwon has been active as a versatile entertainer, recently taking on the role of web entertainment MC," and added, "Please look forward to the new sides she will show in 'Hell's Kitchen.'"

Meanwhile, 'Hell's Kitchen' will showcase its first Korean performance in July at GS Art Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul.
