[Dispatch=Reporter Gu Min-ji] TWS is receiving positive reviews from major foreign media outlets.
American magazine Forbes highlighted TWS's fifth mini album "NO TRAGEDY" on the 28th. It praised that "TWS shows itself taking a step forward with the new album."
It continued by noting that the group "maintained its boyhood pop color based on refreshing and energetic sound and performance," adding that "it creates excitement with the appearance of moving forward toward love."
British magazine Clash also said on the day, "Rather than defining themselves with a fixed image, they are creating their own color based on time accumulated through experience and flow."
The matured message also drew attention. "While still in the process of defining themselves, there is a clearer sense of what kind of story they want to tell," it analyzed.
Musical growth also received notice. American media outlet Sweetie High introduced the album tracks. "TWS has expanded its spectrum by attempting various styles such as house and R&B," it reported.
Bandwagon Asia mentioned the title track "Follow You." It said, "The refined sound is impressive," and added that "it conveys bright and addictive energy centered around repetitive choruses."
It also gave high marks for not chasing trends. "TWS is not following trends but creating them," it said. It praised how each album is upgraded.
Philippine private broadcaster ABS-CBN selected the "Anta Challenge" moment that drew attention at an awards ceremony last year. "You can meet their further growth in the new album," it said.
"NO TRAGEDY" sold 833,138 copies on its first day of release (the 27th). It topped Hanteo Chart's daily album chart. The figure exceeds the cumulative sales of the previous work, marking a career high.
The digital music performance also stands out. The title track and album tracks "I'll Be All Your Possibilities" and "Why You So Bad?" entered Melon's "Top 100" on the 28th.
Meanwhile, TWS will begin music broadcast activities starting with Mnet's "M Countdown" on the 30th. Through next month's 2nd, it will operate a popup commemorating the new album release on the first floor of HYBE's headquarters in Seoul.
