[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] YG Entertainment (hereinafter YG) is launching a new boy group.

Yang Hyun-suk, overall producer, released a 'YG ANNOUNCEMENT' video on the company blog on the 30th. He directly communicated news about the affiliated artists.

Information regarding the new boy group set to debut this year was revealed. Yang said, "Our current plan is to introduce YG's new boy group in September."

The member count has also been finalized. He added, "I think you all must be curious, but the boy group will have 5 members. We are planning to launch within September."

This marks approximately 6 years since YG has debuted a new boy group. In August 2020, the company introduced TREASURE. In January 2024, YG launched girl group BABYMONSTER.

Beyond the new boy group, YG is developing a girl group debut project. Yang said, "We will sequentially release information about the new artists."
