[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yoon] His first solo concert held in March 2022 ahead of military enlistment. He left the stage without hearing the cheers of fans due to COVID-19.
And four years later, his second solo concert. He stood before MyDay (his fanclub name) with nothing but his voice. Fans welcomed him with loud cheers as if releasing the resentment from back then.
"I couldn't hear MyDay's voice even at the concert, so it remained in my heart all along. But while holding this concert, I was so happy and able to let go of everything refreshingly." (Wonpil)
Wonpil held his solo concert 'Unfiltered' at Jamsil Indoor Gymnasium in Songpa-gu, Seoul on May 1-3. 'Dispatch' was with him on the final day.

"Shall we all stand up from our seats?"
It was his first solo concert in approximately 4 years and 2 months since 'Pilmography' held in March 2022. Wonpil had fans stand from the very beginning.
He arranged the stage with songs from his solo mini album 'Unfiltered' released in March after about 4 years. He opened with 'Toxic Love' and 'I've Become an Adult'.
Wonpil arranged this day like a listening session. He showcased songs and introduced his own stories behind each track.
"'Toxic Love' is also the first track on the album. I selected it because I thought it would work well as the first song of the concert too. 'I've Become an Adult' is a song with the worries I always had recorded in it, and it's my current favorite track."

The stage was filled modestly rather than elaborately decorated. Wonpil filled the venue with his voice alone. He also performed tracks from his solo regular album 'Pilmography'.
He consecutively selected emotional songs including album tracks 'Tissue Scrap', 'Forgotten', 'As I Draw'. Wonpil recalled, "'Pilmography' is an album where I recorded the music I liked back then."
"'As I Draw' is a song I wrote with friends in high school. I wrote it thinking about what kind of lives we would be living in the future. It seems the future I drew back then is still unfinished. How about you all?"
Wonpil questioned and answered with fans while alone, sharing stories about music. He skillfully drew responses too. From the first to third floor, audiences cheered in time with his direction.

He said, "At my first concert, you clapped with clappers, and I laughed and cried alone, asking questions with no answers coming back," and added with joy, "Now I get reactions right away, so it's so much fun."
He also pulled out tracks from the unit 'Even of Day', which is hard to hear at DAY6 concerts. At this moment, Wonpil transformed into a dance artist. He completed 'How I Arrived to You Like That' and 'Home Alone' with backup dancers in cute choreography.
With 'Celebratory Song' he put on a jacket and sang like confessing to fans. He sang a series of sweet songs and confessed sweet love. Jin and Doown, who attended the audience that day, lent their support. When Wonpil requested an impromptu duet with Doown on 'Love, This Must Be It', he responded with a full-throated rendition.
"Doown, sing your part!" (Wonpil)
"It's still awkward. Even if I'm clumsy, will you understand a little♪" (Doown)
"Eek" (MyDay)

Wonpil's trademark, the piano section, could not be missed. The stage wrapped in white cloth opened, and a stage appeared from the air. Wonpil sat in front of a pure white piano wearing a black outfit.
He sang 'Piano', a new album track, set to calm keyboard melodies. The entire venue held its breath for a moment and concentrated on his voice.
He then performed DAY6's 'Like the Flowing Wind' and the mega hit 'You Were Beautiful'. For 'You Were Beautiful', fans sang along from start to finish with one heart and one voice.
"While preparing for the 'Unfiltered' concert, I prepared a lot because I wanted to show you various sides of me. I even tried the production of a piano descending from the sky. Did you like it? Jin hyung, Doown, should we answer?"
"Yes, we did!" (Jin&Doown)

The title track 'Love Ward' was undoubtedly the concert's highlight. Wonpil delivered a powerful live performance in sync with the intense rock sound. On 'Up All Night' he properly brought out his muscle memory.
He displayed full-fledged dance moves and drew explosive reactions from MyDay. When he called out "One more time," he sang without accompaniment and danced, bursting with charisma.
Even alone, DAY6 was together. Photo time with fans. Wonpil spontaneously requested Jin to call out a photo slogan. Jin readily sat in the audience and shouted in a loud voice without a microphone, making the venue ring.
"I'll take the slogan photo. One, two, three, okay!" (Jin)
"This time I'll take it without a slogan. Pretty faces, one, two, three" (Doown)

The final songs were 'Wish You Luck' and 'Step by Step'. After all prepared encore songs ended, Wonpil continued selecting songs fans wanted to hear and could not leave the stage.
"The concert four years ago was a sore spot for me, so this time I just wanted to be happy and have fun. I had a big desire to do well with this album too. I wondered if my music had been stuck in a box all along. I wanted to try new challenges. I was happy to be able to show you a bit of new music and a different side of me through this album. Going forward, I'll work hard to bring you good music together with Jin hyung, Doown, and Bro!"
