[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo] The film "Resident Evil" is being rebooted.
Distributor Sony Pictures announced on the 6th that the new "Resident Evil" series "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" confirmed its release in the second half of this year.
"Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" is a reinterpretation of the "Resident Evil" series. It faithfully captures the video game "Biohazard" that served as its inspiration.
Since the narrative differs entirely from the existing series, the cast has been changed as well. Austin Abrams, Jack Chery, and Kali Reis will star.
The film is directed by Jack Kreger. Through "Weapon" and "Barbarian," he has showcased distinctive horror that captivated both critics and audiences.
Meanwhile, "Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City" is scheduled for domestic release in the second half of the year.
