[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo] Actors Song Kang-ho and Koo Kyo-hwan showcase a distinctive acting ensemble.
The film "The Gardeners" (Director Nam Dong-hyup) unveiled its script reading scene on the 7th. Song Kang-ho, Koo Kyo-hwan, Song Seung-heon, Lee Kwang-soo, Shin Hyun-bin, Kim Byung-chul, and Park Ju-hyun attended.
"The Gardeners" tells the story of a civil servant whose only hobby is growing plants, who joins hands with a neighborhood troublemaker and plunges into a special horticulture business, falling into chaos.
The atmosphere on set that day was heated. Without a trace of awkwardness on first take, they displayed acting chemistry that was nearly perfect. It raised expectations for a new comedy unlike anything seen before.
Song Kang-ho plays civil servant Choi Young-il. He is also a miracle plant parent who can revive even dead plants. Song Kang-ho's characteristically dense acting added weight to the film.
Koo Kyo-hwan takes on the role of neighborhood troublemaker Kim Moon-ho. Moon-ho is a character who brings accidents with every breath he takes. He creates fresh chemistry with Song Kang-ho.
Song Seung-heon plays star Han Cheong-yong, who fell into ruin following a certain incident. He reveals twist appeal. Lee Kwang-soo was cast as Song Sa-jang, who will work as Young-il's partner.
Shin Hyun-bin plays Kang Mi-ae, a restaurant owner with secrets. Kim Byung-chul acts as Yeom Byung-chul, Young-il's colleague. Park Ju-hyun joins as Police Officer Jeong Hae-ri.
Meanwhile, "The Gardeners" began its first shoot on the 29th of last month. The release date remains undecided.
