According to the Korean Film Council's integrated movie ticket sales system, "The Devil Wears Prada 2" drew 35,509 viewers on the 6th, once again claiming the top position on the overall box office.
As of 6:48 a.m. on the 7th, the film recorded a cumulative audience of 1,056,641, surpassing 1 million viewers. It also holds the top spot in advance reservation rates, demonstrating enduring popularity even in its second week of release.
"The Devil Wears Prada 2" depicts the story that unfolds when Miranda (played by Meryl Streep), editor-in-chief of the legendary fashion magazine "Runway," and Andy (played by Anne Hathaway), who has returned as a planning editor, reunite with Emily (played by Emily Blunt), who has become a luxury brand executive.
The sequel arrives 20 years later. Audiences are expressing warmth toward the perfectly executed sequel while responding with empathy to the realistic narrative, growth story, and warm message contained in the film.
