Hongjoong attended the 27th Jeonju International Film Festival held at CGV Jeonju Gosa on the 7th and met fans through a GV (audience talk) event.
The Jeonju International Film Festival is a non-competitive film festival that introduces alternative currents of contemporary film art and works at the forefront of independent and art films through competitive sections.
The film 'Hallucination' received a special screening in the festival's largest theater. Hongjoong attended the GV as the main music director and graced the occasion.
'Hallucination' is a work depicting the story of Ralphy, a fashion editor who lives like an AI, giving personality to an AI call and falling in love.
On this day, Hongjoong spent meaningful time introducing music to audiences at close range, answering questions, and sharing stories related to the work.
He said, "I am honored to participate as a music director for a film through a good opportunity. It was a very meaningful project. I gained a lot of inspiration while witnessing the process of the music I worked on and newly created sounds filling the film."
He continued, "I hope Korean independent films reach more people," and shared his thoughts: "I want to continue new work in various ways going forward."
Hongjoong worked on 'BLEEDING LIGHT', written from the perspective of the protagonist Ralphy, who begins to feel emotions that should not be felt by the AI protagonist.
'NOTHING LEFT', which is the ending of the film and sings of the fundamental discomfort the work holds, left a strong impression as Hongjoong directly participated in both producing and vocals.
He continues to be active in various fields. Hongjoong was appointed as a global ambassador for the World Vision campaign 'Global 6K for Water', and also served as an 'Honorary Falconer' at the LAFC match held at LA BMO Stadium.
Meanwhile, in 'Hallucination', in which Hongjoong participated as a music director, his older brother Beomjoong starred as the protagonist.
