[Dispatch=Yuha Reporter] BIGBANG's Taeyang is releasing a solo full-length album for the first time in 9 years.

Taeyang will release his fourth full-length album "QUINTESSENCE" on the 18th. He unveiled new album teasing photos on SNS on the 7th.

He completed a hip mood with monochrome styling and sensible fashion. He captured attention with vibrant hair color and a bold atmosphere.

"QUINTESSENCE" means essence. It is an album title created by Taeyang himself. He recently explained on SNS, "It's a word that has lingered in my heart for a long time, and the most necessary word for this era."

The album contains his journey of finding that "essence." Taeyang said, "I hope you will discover it for yourself someday," and added, "It is a story about something that is most important but not easily seen."

This is a solo full-length album released after approximately 9 years. The release date (May 18th) is his birthday. He has hinted at a special music gift for VIP (the fan club name).

He continues group activities as well. Taeyang has an upcoming BIGBANG 20th debut anniversary world tour in August. In April, he took the stage at the major American music festival "Coachella."
