The Weeknd, Concert in Korea After 8 Years... "October, See You in Goyang!"

[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] Pop star The Weeknd is visiting Korea for the first time in approximately 8 years. He will hold a large-scale concert in the country.

The Weeknd posted a poster for the global stadium tour "After Hours Til Dawn" Asia concert on SNS on the 11th (Korea time).

Through this tour, he will visit stadiums in a total of 7 cities/regions. The Korean concert will be held at Goyang Comprehensive Stadium in Goyang-si, Gyeonggi-do on October 7-9.

This is The Weeknd's first visit to Korea in approximately 8 years. The Weeknd held his first Korea concert at Gocheok Skydome in Guro-gu, Seoul as part of the Hyundai Card Culture Project in 2018.

This year's concert will also be held with Hyundai Card. The concert is scheduled to proceed with a scale of 100,000 people, following Coldplay in 2017 and Bruno Mars in 2023.

The Weeknd is a Canadian singer-songwriter. He brought alternative R&B, which combines R&B, hip-hop, and electronic music, to the mainstream of popular music.

He swept various charts and awards ceremonies. He has placed a total of 7 songs at number one on the Billboard Hot 100. He has also won Grammy Awards with "Beauty Behind the Madness" and others.

Meanwhile, ticket reservation information for The Weeknd's concert will be announced later.
