[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo] Actor Park Jihoon releases another hit series. 'The Legend of the Mess Soldier' has launched with a 5% viewership rating.

tvN series 'The Legend of the Mess Soldier' (written by Choi Yong-ryong, directed by Jo Nam-hyung) aired for the first time on the 11th. According to Nielsen Korea, the first episode recorded a national average viewership rating of 5.8%.

This is more than double compared to the previous series' viewership. 'Yumi's Cells 3,' which concluded on the 4th, remained in the 2% range throughout its broadcast run despite the strong performances of Kim Go-eun and Kim Jae-won.

Park Jihoon's return to drama appears to have had a positive impact on viewers. Park Jihoon joined the ranks of 10-million-viewer actors with his role as Hong Wei in the film 'The Man Living with the King.'

The adaptation from a popular webtoon of the same name also heightened anticipation. It follows the process of an interested soldier gaining status window abilities and overcoming trials to become a mess soldier.

In the broadcast that day, Kang Sung-jae (played by Park Jihoon) adapted to military unit life despite precarious circumstances. After being assigned the position of mess soldier, he successfully completed his first quest.

There was also crisis. The sudden visit of Battalion Commander Baek Chun-ik (played by Jung Ung-in), a lieutenant colonel. A sea urchin roe seaweed soup, a hidden item, was served, but the ending showed Lieutenant Colonel Baek suddenly collapsing.

Meanwhile, 'The Legend of the Mess Soldier' airs every Monday and Tuesday at 8:50 p.m. on tvN and Tving.
