[Dispatch=Reporter Jeong Tae-yun] Actors Shin Ha-gyun, Oh Jung-se, and Huh Sung-tae have joined forces for a full-fledged salty action comedy.
The MBC-TV 'Fifty Percent' (screenplay by Jang Won-seop, directed by Han Dong-hwa) side revealed character posters and a group poster of Shin Ha-gyun (playing Jongho Myung), Oh Jung-se (playing Bong Je-soon), and Huh Sung-tae (playing Kang Beom-ryong) on the 12th.
'Fifty Percent' is a salty action comedy. It depicts the story of three men who appeared ordinary but had some flair, set back in motion by fate.
It captures the world of real professionals who have run through 50% of their lives—though worn down by the world and their bodies may be rusty, their loyalty and instinct remain intact.
The character posters captured each of the three men's different starting points for act two of their lives. Their enthusiasm overflowed, but their bodies, no longer what they used to be, drew laughter.
First, Shin Ha-gyun wore a wrist brace while displaying a relaxed expression. With the line "I'll show you. What a real pro is," his hidden past and upcoming exploits piqued curiosity.
Oh Jung-se overwhelmed viewers with a dynamic pose wrapping a knee brace. In particular, the line "A fight isn't done with words" foreshadowed events that would unfold after recovering lost memories.
Huh Sung-tae wore a patch on his waist. With the line "My fists haven't expired," he revealed unrusted charisma. He displays a persistent presence and stride even as time passes.
The group poster included Kim Shin-rok (playing Kang Young-ae), Kwon Yul (playing Do Hoe-jang), Lee Hak-ju (playing Ma Gong-bok), Han Ji-eun (playing Park Mi-kyung), and Hyun Bong-sik (playing Yoo In-gu). Characters with different purposes gathered to form tense atmosphere.
Centering on Jongho Myung, who has lived as a kitchen manager at Oran Chinese restaurant for 10 years while hiding his National Intelligence Service background, there is Bong Je-soon, a North Korean agent who lost his memory 10 years ago, and Kang Beom-ryong, the second-in-command of the Hwasan faction who has been running a convenience store for 10 years.
Characters carrying their own stories hinted at complex entangled relationships through different expressions and gazes. In particular, Do Hoe-jang and Yoo In-gu stand at the crossroads of these relationships.
The appearance of characters wary of each other sparked curiosity about the relationships surrounding 'that day's incident' 10 years ago and the missing 'object.' As these characters gather in one place again after 10 years, what incident will they clash over?
'Fifty Percent' airs its first broadcast on the 22nd at 9:50 p.m.
