Actor Park Eun-bin unveils a new side. She appears as an immature, reckless character. She evaluated herself, saying, "This is the simplest character I've ever played."

On top of that, she even uses teleportation superpower. Director Yu said, "I was impressed by Park Eun-bin when we filmed 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.' There was a belief that she could do this too," he noted.

He pointed out his instinct was correct. "Park Eun-bin has an excellent sense of comedy. She's a bold and courageous actor," he said in admiration, adding, "'Wonderfuls' contains tremendous acting."

Park Eun-bin said, "I didn't expect us to come together this quickly," and expressed her confidence, saying, "I wanted to work with Director Yu on a project that could make people laugh. I think it was a good choice."

The production presentation for 'Wonderfuls' took place on the 12th at JW Marriott Dongdaemun Square Seoul in Jongno-gu, Seoul. Actors Park Eun-bin, Choi Dae-hoon, Lim Sung-jae, Kim Hae-sook, Son Hyun-joo, Leeseo, Choi Yun-ji, Bae Na-ra, and Director Yu In-sik attended.

'Wonderfuls' is a superpower comedy-adventure drama. In 1999 at the turn of the century, neighborhood misfits who gain superpowers face off against villains. It's about their struggle to save the world.

Director Yu In-sik introduced it, saying, "In an era when apocalypse theories were rampant, four people called misfits gain special abilities. They face a mission to save the world."

He also explained what inspired him to make it. "I liked the superhero genre. I saw the source material and my heart raced. I thought I could make people feel the excitement I felt as a child, so I started this project," he said.

He added, "I think this genre fundamentally needs to be fun. I hope audiences will enjoy a fun and laughter that they don't want to end, and then feel warmth after it."

He also revealed details of the production process. "1999 doesn't look drastically different at first glance. Even clothing doesn't look different unless you look closely. I paid a lot of attention to details," he noted.

He explained, "We placed trendy graffiti from that time, Y2K emergency kits, and so on. Since the characters need to stand out, we focused on details that come through when you pay close attention."

Park Eun-bin holds the center as the protagonist. She plays 'Eun-chae-ni' in the quartet. She said, "Eun-chae-ni is the immature granddaughter of the grandmother who runs the most successful big restaurant in Haeseong City."

She said, "She's a character who speaks what she wants to say because you never know when you'll die," and explained, "She's reckless, headstrong, and immature. Her nickname is Haeseong City's punk. She gains teleportation ability."

She fell in love with the charm of the project. "When I first read the script, I thought it was ingenious. I thought that if we could execute this, it could be fun for me too, so I chose 'Wonderfuls,'" she noted.

Park Eun-bin hinted at lovely comic acting. "Eun-chae-ni has the simplest mindset of any character I've played," she smiled, "Her very nature is straightforward."

She emphasized it's a project that can bring joy. "I had a lot of fun experiences getting to know this character's world. Viewers will also be able to have enjoyable experiences," she emphasized.

Park Eun-bin, Lim Sung-jae, Choi Dae-hoon, and Director Yu In-sik reunited for the first time in a long while since 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo.' Park Eun-bin opened up, saying, "I didn't expect us to come together this quickly."

Park Eun-bin recalled, "I remember hearing about this project for the first time in front of a kimbap restaurant while filming 'Woo Young-woo,'" adding, "I heard the story roughly then, and I thought it would be fun."

She explained, "As I handled various schedules with Director Yu, I heard the story seriously and became interested. I think viewers will either smile or burst out laughing."

Director Yu praised her, saying, "I kept being amazed by Park Eun-bin while filming 'Woo Young-woo.' I wondered if there was anything impossible for this actor. I had confidence she could pull this off too."

Park Eun-bin recalled the filming atmosphere. "Fortunately, all roads led through Chae-ni, which was fun. I think we were able to show genuine team chemistry," she laughed.

She said, "There were many difficult scenes in terms of conditions, so it always felt like a challenge. But since the set was full of laughter, the atmosphere itself was good. We filmed joyfully."

Park Eun-bin shared, "I was worried we might not be funny. (The actors) worked hard doing character performances. I felt like 'I don't need to be funny, I just need to be serious,'" she said.

Cha Eun-woo plays the role of 'Lee Woon-jung.' He's a specially hired civil servant at the Haeseong City Civil Affairs Office who hides his telekinesis ability. Director Yu introduced the character, saying, "He always eats alone and lacks social skills. He becomes forcibly socialized."

Earlier, controversy over Cha Eun-woo's tax evasion raised questions about whether the project's release date would be delayed. Director Yu carefully stated, "Even during the editing process, we prioritized the completeness of the drama in production."

Choi Dae-hoon plays 'Son Gyeong-hun,' who has sticky power. He said, "He's Haeseong City's official troublemaker," and explained, "A character who has turned his back on the world on his own." He hinted at a different side from 'Mr. Sunshine.'

He said, "A somewhat quirky and fun fairy tale has been well prepared," and added, "It's not entirely light either. I hope viewers will enjoy it with broad and affectionate hearts."

Lim Sung-jae plays 'Kang Ro-bin,' who gains superhuman strength. "He's Eun-chae-ni's only friend. His main job is peeling onions. He's a big guy with a cute personality. I tried to express that well," he explained.

He also boasted of his perfect chemistry with Park Eun-bin. "It was an honor to work with actor Park Eun-bin, whom I trust and follow Director Yu In-sik," he said, adding his expectation that "Park Eun-bin's cutest side came out."

Park Eun-bin showed confidence in the project. "We've prepared a lot and now we're finally revealing it. If you want to forget the complexities of reality, choose 'Wonderfuls,'" she emphasized.

She added, "We've packed the sensibility of the turn of the century. Those who weren't born can have an indirect experience of what 1999 was like, and those who experienced it will recall nostalgia."

'Wonderfuls' being a superpower comedy also incorporates diverse visual effects. Director Yu In-sik asked, "We've prepared a variety of things to see, so I hope you laugh a lot and take warmth with you."

He also expressed his faith in the actors. "We prepared various special effects like CG, but after filming, the completion really came from the actors' faces. It contains excellent acting," he emphasized.

Son Hyun-joo said, "It's like a gift set of a drama, so it's impossible not to love it." Leeseo joked, "If there are people who don't get to watch it, through my brainwashing ability, I'll make sure they do."

Finally, Director Yu made a pledge, saying, "The overseas response was favorable. I hope we become the global number one. (If we do become number one) I'll film some kind of content with the 'Wonderfuls' members and release it."

Meanwhile, 'Wonderfuls' will be released on Netflix on the 15th at 5 p.m.
