[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] CORTIS has broken into the top 3 of the U.S. Billboard main album chart.
Billboard released a chart preview article on the 18th (Korean time). CORTIS ranked 3rd on the 'Billboard 200' (as of the 23rd) with their mini-album second release 'GREENGREEN'.
This is the first time they have entered the top 3 on the main album chart. Excluding project teams, they are the K-pop group that entered the top 3 in the shortest period (9 months) after debut among all historical records.
The 'Billboard 200' is Billboard's main album chart. Rankings are determined using album sales volume, streaming count conversion figures (SEA), and download conversion figures (TEA).
According to 'Luminate', 'GREENGREEN' recorded 81,500 album units during the tracking period. Album sales came to 81,500 units, with SEA at 5,000 units.
The team's growth is sharp. The highest ranking of their debut album 'COLOR OUTSIDE THE LINES' was 15th. With their next release, they rose 12 positions.
The title track 'REDRED' achieved a domestic music broadcast grand slam. It dominated 'Show! Champion', 'M Countdown', 'Music Bank', and 'Show! Music Core'.
It also swept the upper ranks of music charts. The song reached No. 2 on the Melon daily chart (as of the 15th). After entering the 90s, it has steadily climbed the rankings. It has been at No. 1 on Bugs for six consecutive days.
CORTIS has also captivated offline stages. They participated in festivals at Dankook University's Jukjeon Campus and Hongik University's Seoul Campus. They sparked audience singalongs at every performance.
