[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] BTS has reached No. 1 on the Billboard 'Global' chart for the sixth time.
According to Billboard's latest count (as of the 23rd), BTS topped the 'Global (excluding US)' chart with 'SWIM,' the title track from their fifth studio album 'ARIRANG.'
'Global (excluding US)' is one of the detailed charts. Rankings are based on streaming or download counts from 200 countries and regions worldwide, excluding the United States.
Since its release on March 20, 'SWIM' has reached No. 1 on the chart a total of six times. It has surpassed pop star Taylor Swift's record for the most No. 1 entries on 'Global (excluding US).'
The group continues to show strong popularity on 'Billboard 200,' the main album chart. BTS charted at No. 8 with 'ARIRANG,' maintaining a top 10 position for the eighth consecutive week since reaching No. 1 last month.
The main songs chart also saw consecutive charting for eight weeks. 'SWIM' rose to No. 34 on the 'Hot 100.' Since entering at No. 1, it has remained in the upper ranks of the chart, suggesting sustained commercial success.
On 'World Albums,' four albums charted. The anthology album 'Proof' rose one position from the previous week to No. 3, holding its chart position for the 205th week.
That is not all. BTS's fourth Japanese studio album charted at No. 11. Their third studio album 'Love Yourself Tear' was at No. 16, and their fifth mini album 'Love Yourself Her' was at No. 25.
Meanwhile, BTS is currently holding North American concerts as part of their world tour 'ARIRANG.' They became the first Korean artist to enter Stanford Stadium in the United States.
