[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju] LE SSERAFIM has met another signature song representing the era with 'BOOMPALA'.
LE SSERAFIM released its second full-length album 'PUREFLOW' pt.1' on the 22nd. The album includes 11 tracks including the title song 'BOOMPALA'.
'BOOMPALA' is a song that redefines the emotion of fear. It carries a lighthearted energy conveying that fear can be an illusion amounting to nothing depending on perspective and attitude.
The song samples the global hit 'Macarena'. The familiar sound starting from the intro and the repetitive chorus boast addictiveness.
Even the iconic choreography from the original was incorporated into the 'BOOMPALA' performance. The choreography utilizing both arms completed a song that anyone, regardless of age or gender, can enjoy together.
This is not LE SSERAFIM's first attempt at sampling. The title song from the first full-length album 'Unforgiven' samples the OST from the American film 'The Outlaw Josey Wales'.
The track 'Pierrot' from the fourth mini album 'Crazy' was also taken from singer Kim Wan-sun's hit song 'Pierrot Laughs at Us'. The song reinterprets the original by weaving it throughout the track.
The agency said, "Through sampling, the team built its own musical world by adding new meaning to the team's message based on the originality of the original song."
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM will participate in Kyung Hee University's International Campus festival on the 27th. Next month, the group will perform at the 'Weverse Con Festival' held around Seoul Olympic Park.
