[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo Reporter] LE SSERAFIM has met yet another iconic song of the era with 'BOOMPALA'.
LE SSERAFIM released its second full-length album 'PUREFLOW' pt.1 on the 22nd. The album contains 11 tracks including the title song 'BOOMPALA'.
'BOOMPALA' is a song that redefines the emotion of fear. It carries an uplifting energy that conveys how fear can be nothing but an illusion depending on perspective and attitude.
The song samples the globally hit track 'Macarena'. The familiar sound starting from the intro and repetitive chorus boast addictiveness.
The choreography point of the original song has been incorporated into the 'BOOMPALA' performance as well. Using arm movements, the song was completed so that people of all ages and genders across generations can enjoy it together.
LE SSERAFIM's sampling attempt is not their first. The title song with the same name as their first full-length album 'Unforgiven' samples the OST from American film 'The Good, the Bad and the Ugly'.
The track 'Pierrot' from mini album 4 'Crazy' was also taken from singer Kim Wan-sun's hit song 'Pierrot Looks at Us and Laughs'. The song reinterprets it by incorporating the original throughout.
The label stated, "Through sampling, based on the popularity of the original song, the team has built an independent musical world by newly layering the message the team wants to convey."
Meanwhile, LE SSERAFIM will participate in Kyung Hee University International Campus festival on the 27th. Next month, the group will perform at 'Weverse Con Festival' held around Seoul Olympic Park.
