[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] Actor So Ji-seob becomes an ordinary citizen harboring a secret.
So Ji-seob appears in the new SBS-TV Friday-Saturday drama "Kim Bujang" (screenplay by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun), which is set to air next month. He plays a savings bank employee.
"Kim Bujang" is a revenge action piece adapted from a webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary father who risks everything to recover his one and only daughter.
Ahead of the work's release, a scene of humiliating collar-grabbing was unveiled. Kim Bujang (played by So Ji-seob) is threatened while trying to avoid thugs he encounters on his way home from work.
With his gaze lowered, he revealed himself as a weak character. But there was a twist. Kim Bujang's true identity is a first-class wanted black list number one North-South operative.
So Ji-seob said of the character, "He is a daughter fool who cherishes his daughter dearly and a mysterious figure. I hope you'll follow along with the Kim Bujang narrative as it gradually unfolds," and added, "Thanks to the staff who showed their best at their respective positions, I was able to immerse myself in the character. I hope the on-set energy can be conveyed."
"Kim Bujang" is scheduled as the follow-up to "Wonderful New World." It airs on the 26th of next month (Friday).
