[Dispatch=Lee Myeong-ju Reporter] Actor So Ji-seop becomes an ordinary citizen harboring a secret.
So Ji-seop appears in the new SBS-TV Friday-Saturday drama 'Kim Busang' (screenplay by Nam Dae-joong, directed by Lee Seung-young and Lee So-eun), which is scheduled to air next month. He plays the role of a savings bank employee.
'Kim Busang' is a revenge action drama adapted from a webtoon of the same name. It tells the story of an ordinary father who stakes everything to get back his only daughter.
Before the release of the work, the scene of humiliating collar-grabbing was unveiled. Kim Busang (played by So Ji-seop) is threatened while trying to avoid thugs he encounters on his way home from work.
With his gaze lowered, he revealed himself to be a weak character. But there was a twist. Kim Busang's true identity is a top-priority wanted blacklist level 1 North-South operations agent.
Regarding the character, So Ji-seop said, "He is a fool for his daughter who cares too much about her and a mysterious person," and added, "I hope you will follow the narrative of Kim Busang that gradually unfolds."
He also said, "Thanks to the staff who showed their best at their respective positions, I was able to immerse myself in the character. I hope the energy of the set can be conveyed."
Meanwhile, 'Kim Busang' is scheduled as the follow-up to 'Magnificent Century'. It will air for the first time on the 26th of next month (Friday).
