[Dispatch=Reporter Gu Minji] NCT's Taeyong has garnered praise from major overseas media outlets with his debut album "WYLD" (WYLD).
American Billboard stated, "Taeyong, recognized as a unique artist in K-pop, has made his return. 'WYLD' offers a glimpse into his original and distinctive musical world."
British magazine Clash also took note of the album's completeness. "It is a cheerful and experimental album that showcases various facets of Taeyong. His confident vocals are also a highlight," the outlet said.
The outlet also highlighted the title track of the same name. "Centered on raw vocals and heavy bass, it unfolds explosive energy. Taeyong's charismatic expressiveness stands out," it reported.
"Based on his original musical world, Taeyong is recognized as a representative creator in K-pop. He has established himself as a figure who influences K-pop trends and serves as a source of inspiration," it announced.

American "Sweetie High" selected it as this year's best K-pop album. "A highly accomplished work in which experimentality, vocals, rap, confidence, and storytelling organically harmonize," it noted.
"Taeyong demonstrates confident, experimental yet refined and creative facets throughout the album," the outlet continued, emphasizing that he "clearly demonstrates solid vocal abilities."
The outlet also mentioned the title track. "It takes command of the album's atmosphere at once. Explosive sound production and performance that maximizes Taeyong's strengths achieve perfect harmony," it introduced.
Taeyong's musicality was also highly evaluated. "Sweetie High" stated, "Taeyong freely moves between light and soft melodies, low and husky tones, and singing rap."

Taeyong released "WYLD" on the 18th. Upon its release, it achieved number 1 on domestic music and streaming charts, and succeeded in ranking 1-10 on Japan's AWA real-time surge chart.
It also garnered attention overseas. It recorded top 10 placements in 18 regions including number 1 in 10 regions on the iTunes Top Albums chart, and number 1 in 9 regions on the iTunes Top Songs chart.
