[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] KATSEYE took home three trophies at the American Music Awards (AMA).

KATSEYE received the "Artist of the Year" award at the American Music Awards held on the 26th at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.

They beat out strong competitors. After being nominated alongside Alex Warren, Ella Langley, Leon Thomas, Olivia Dean, and Sombre, they were chosen as the final winner.

Megan took the microphone. "Oh my god, this is insane," she said, adding "I sincerely thank the Icons (fanbase name)."

Sophia gave a shoutout to BTS. "I especially want to thank BTS. You inspired us to express our culture to the world," she said.

Yoon Chae greeted in Korean. "I'm grateful to be able to share this moment with my members," she said, adding "We will proudly represent our culture going forward."

They also swept the "Best Music Video" and "Breakthrough Pop Artist" categories. They also took the stage as performers. They performed their new song "Pinky Up."

Meanwhile, KATSEYE will make a comeback with their third EP "WILD" on August 14.
