[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yoon] The movie 'Crime City 5' has announced its full-scale launch.
The 'Crime City 5' (Director Huh Myung-haeng) side confirmed major casting including Ma Dong-seok and Kim Jae-young and held the crank-in on the 24th. Ma Dong-seok, the center of the series, leads the series again this time.
The film depicts the crime sweep operation that monster detective Ma Seok-do (played by Ma Dong-seok) carries out against Lee Kang-tae (played by Kim Jae-young), who has begun the worst crimes after eight years of waiting.
Ma Seok-do was promoted to team leader of the Gwangsoo Team. With unwavering determination to catch bad guys, he still works on the front lines. He will engage in an extreme confrontation against increasingly sophisticated crimes with no way of knowing what lies ahead.
Kim Jae-young plays fifth-generation villain Lee Kang-tae. Through this character who pursues his goals by any means necessary, he will show a new side of himself.

The newly joined cast members also stand out. First, Seo Hyun-woo takes on the role of Gwangsoo Team 1 detective 'Go Young-min'. As a strong pillar of Team 1, he leads the team alongside Ma Seok-do.
Lee Hak-joo appears as 'Han Sang-gu,' an accomplice who helps Lee Kang-tae's crimes, adding tension to the story. Baekhyun appears in the role of Gwangsoo Team captain 'Kim Min-chul,' and Kim Min-ho joins as 'Buldak.'
Director Huh Myung-haeng, who was in charge of the series' martial arts and directed the megaphone for the fourth installment, returns. He will once again showcase his signature intense action.
'Crime City' broke unprecedented records as the first Korean film series to achieve triple ten-million viewership and surpassed 40 million cumulative series viewers. Season 5 will continue the series' tradition.
