[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] BTS is continuing successful comeback activities. The group has added another music video to its 100 million view collection.
Big Hit Music announced on the 27th, "The music video for '2.0,' a track from BTS's regular 5th album 'Arirang,' surpassed 100 million cumulative views on YouTube."
The music video became a topic of discussion by paying homage to director Park Chan-wook's film 'Oldboy.' The members recreated 'hammer action' scenes in a space designed as an abandoned building.
The song's message was also conveyed. Through scenes of changing clothes in an elevator or performing in a modern building, 'BTS 2.0' was visually depicted.
'2.0' is a hip-hop trap genre with an impressive unconventional rhythm. It expressed BTS's present moment, having gone through change and growth and entered a turning point, with a fresh sensibility.
Despite being a B-side track, the song captivated listeners worldwide. Shortly after the new album's release, it charted at No. 50 on the U.S. Billboard main song chart 'Hot 100' (as of April 4).
Meanwhile, BTS is carrying out a world tour. On the 12th and 13th of next month, the group will hold an 'Arirang' concert at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium.
