They confessed that they have been each other's most reliable support. They said that their very existence provides solace. Their feelings for one another ran deeper and more solid than anything else.
TWS became the subject of 'DICON' issue #34. They shared the team's growth story and stories about each other from their trainee days onward. A 128-minute conversation with them was condensed into 23,500 characters.
The members opened up about their genuine feelings for one another. Shin Yu said, "Just the fact that my younger members exist is really reassuring," adding "as we continue to grow, our chemistry is getting better."
Young Jae said the members are "my pride." He conveyed, "In truth, they are a tremendous source of strength moment by moment," and "their mere existence is very reassuring."
Do Hun expressed affection, saying "just having someone by my side who went through difficult times together with me is comfort in itself."
Han said with a laugh, "Now I can understand what the members are thinking with just eye contact," and "I was able to do everything so far because of the members. Without the members, I wouldn't be here either."
Jihoon said he came to trust his members more than himself. "There are many times I can't trust myself, but I've rushed forward thinking 'I have 5 members behind me who believe in me, so what can't I do,'" he shared.
Kyung Min said, "Since we've spent so much time together, it feels like family," adding "it's reassuring to have the hyungs. Having someone to talk to when it's difficult is an advantage."
They also painted a picture of the future they will share together. Young Jae noted, "We have shown the narrative of youth (enrollment-vacation-graduation-age twenty), and going forward, it seems we will build our narrative suited to our age group and continue with stories that strengthen our friendship."
Shin Yu expressed his wish, "While maintaining the boyhood pop genre to the end, we want to broaden our spectrum," adding "it's an eternal task. Even if we fail, I want to show many different sides of TWS through numerous attempts."
Jihoon also added, "Boyhood pop is TWS's story and the path we will walk," saying "we want to broaden the scope of our music by creating stories we can tell as TWS through music."
Finally, Shin Yu said, "A lot of our natural sides were exposed in DICON," expressing his hope that "42 fans will see sides of us as TWS that you haven't seen before and feel many emotions."
The edition also contains sincere messages to 42 fans, newly revealed sides of the members, previously undisclosed behind-the-scenes moments from their dorm, recent conversations around a campfire, and stories about youth and music.
The 'DICON' TWS edition comes in two versions. Type A, "Dear My Boyhood," documents TWS's youth. It captures their innocent, childlike appearance. It includes behind-the-scenes content, member-specific TMI, and questionnaires from staff.
Type B, "Tiny Wonder Stories," captures TWS with a more intimate perspective after sunset. You can hear TWS's stories—small but never trivial. The interviews with the members are moving in themselves.
