[Dispatch=Myeong-ju Lee] The films "A Man Living with the King" (directed by Jang Hang-jun) and "Master of the World" (directed by Yoon Ga-eun) will meet audiences in the Chinese market.
The films have been officially invited to the "Asia Collection" section of the 28th Shanghai International Film Festival (SIFF), which opens on the 12th of next month.
The Shanghai Film Festival, along with the Beijing International Film Festival, is a leading global film festival representing China. The festival introduces films from Asia through this section.
Multiple Korean films have also been invited. "Mother" (2009), "The Priests" (2015), "Intimate Strangers" (2018), and "Extreme Job" (2019) have reached audiences.
"A Man Living with the King" depicts the exile life of Dangjong, the sixth king of Joseon. It surpassed 1.626 million cumulative viewers and rose to the 2nd place in all-time box office.
"Master of the World" is a story that unfolds when a high school girl named Ju-in, who is the protagonist, alone refuses a petition signed by all students and begins to receive mysterious notes.
