[Dispatch=Yuha Reporter] NCT's Doyoung donated 100 million won for suicide prevention and mental health support.
The Korea Life Respect Hope Foundation announced on the 29th, "Doyoung made a designated donation of 100 million won to support military personnel in suicidal crisis in the Republic of Korea and children and adolescents bereaved by suicide."
The donation will be used for mental health recovery projects for high-risk military personnel and suicide bereaved families. The foundation plans to work with relevant organizations to develop substantive support measures.
Doyoung said, "I often tell fans that 'tomorrow will surely be happier than today,'" and added, "There are times when things feel heavy and difficult, but I believe we ultimately move in a warmer direction."
He continued, "I hope encouragement is conveyed through this donation," and added, "I hope it becomes a source of strength and courage for everyone."
Since his debut, Doyoung has consistently engaged in giving. Last year, he delivered donations to multiple organizations for supporting children who skip meals and youth preparing for independence, recovery from forest fire damage, and improvement of educational environments.
He is currently serving as a life ambassador for the 'Cheonmyeong Keeper Project.' The project is a suicide prevention and life-respect culture promotion campaign conducted jointly by the government and citizens.
