[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Ajin] 'Take One Studio' has announced major new projects.
Take One Studio unveiled its next project lineup on the 2nd. The company plans to expand global market-focused IPs across various formats.
First, the drama lineup includes 'Whale Star', 'Summer Girl Ha-Bo', and 'Cell'. All are based on original Naver and Daum webtoons.
'Whale Star' stars Moon Ga-young, Choi Woo-shik, and Heo Nam-joon. It is jointly directed by director Huh Jin-ho of the film 'Late Spring' and director Yoo Beom-sang of the drama 'Study Group'. The broadcast on tvN has been confirmed for next year.
'Summer Girl Ha-Bo' is a comic fantasy romance. Casting will be completed in the second half of this year, with production scheduled to begin. 'Cell' is a superpowers action drama, currently in the casting stage.

Season-format large-scale dramas are also anticipated. 'King of Hawaii', BBC original drama 'Unforgotten', and romantic comedy drama 'Nobi Sun-hosa Sang' are in preparation.
In particular, 'King of Hawaii' is written by author Kim Bo-tong and directed by director Lee Won-seok. Set in late 1980s Hawaii, it depicts the rise of a second-generation Korean immigrant youth to become a crime king.
The short-form drama lineup released through 'Kitz' is also solid. K-pop artists and veteran production teams have joined forces. These works expand to films and mid-form series after short-form pre-release.
'Love WiFi-Goong' completes the webtoon of the same name. Younghoon, Lee Ruda, and Kim Dong-joon appear. Director Jang Tae-yu, who directed 'Tyrant's Chef', participates as project creator.
'Grim Reaper Life Extension Project' is a work starring Lee Min-gi and MONSTA X Hyungwon. Director Lee Gye-byeok of the film 'Lucky' takes the helm, adding to the anticipation.
