BTS, dominated Japan…Billboard Japan first half of the year No. 1

[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] BTS's "ARIRANG" swept the Japanese charts.

Billboard Japan announced the results of its "2026 First Half Year-End Report" on the 5th on its website. The counting period was from November 24 of last year to the 24th of last month.

BTS topped the comprehensive album ranking "Hot Albums" with their regular fifth album "ARIRANG." The group reached the top spot a total of 8 times.

"ARIRANG" ranked first in physical album sales (706,961 copies) and in the streaming category. In the download category, it placed 2nd (20,139 times).

The title track "SWIM" was also well-received. It recorded 38th place on the comprehensive song chart "Hot 100." The B-side track "2.0" entered the chart at 87th place.

BTS ranked 6th on "Artist 100" powered by the success of their new album. They were the only foreign artist to enter the top 10.

Meanwhile, BTS will hold a concert on December 12-13 at the Busan Asiad Main Stadium as part of their world tour "ARIRANG."
