Gold Medal List stated on the 5th, "We are sharing the progress on the results of the police investigation into the complaint and accusations filed by Kim Soo-hyun and his agency against Kim Se-ui."
The police transferred Kim Se-ui for prosecution on charges including violation of the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes (distribution of images taken using cameras, etc.), stating that "the allegations are recognized."
The agency said, "We are grateful to those who have spoken up on behalf of Kim Soo-hyun. We thank everyone who has helped so that the true facts of this case can be widely known."
They also extended their gratitude to the investigative and judicial authorities. They emphasized, "You conducted the investigation based solely on evidence and facts and revealed the truth," and "made a fair and strict judgment."
They also did not forget the fans who sent quiet support. A representative said, "The trust and support of our fans became a great strength during difficult times."
This case first emerged in February last year. Kim Se-ui broadcast on 'Garo Sero Lab' content claiming that Kim Soo-hyun had dated the late Kim Sae-ron when he was a minor.
Kim Soo-hyun's side took legal action. They held Kim Se-ui and others responsible for violations of the Information and Communications Network Utilization Promotion and Information Protection Act (defamation through false statement of facts), among other charges.
The Seoul Gangnam Police Station looked into the case for over a year. On the 14th of last month, they applied for an arrest warrant for Kim Se-ui, and the court accepted it while the investigation proceeded with Kim Se-ui in custody.
