[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] ZEROBASEONE's Park Gun-uk has directly apologized regarding controversy over manipulation in a fan signing event.

Park Gun-uk posted an apology on the fan communication platform 'Plus Chat' on the 5th. He acknowledged manipulation allegations that arose at a recent in-person fan signing event and bowed his head.

He wrote, "I should have judged and acted more carefully at the scene," and "I apologize to those who were confused and hurt due to my shortcomings."

He added, "Although I have cherished the fans' hearts, I apologize for not showing them a side worthy of those hearts. I will reflect sincerely."

Park Gun-uk also said, "I have disappointed the Zeros (fandom name) once again," and "I also apologize to our ZEROBASEONE members and staff."

He reiterated his apology: "I will reflect and grow so that I can become someone worthy of the trust that the Zeros are sending me."

The problematic scene occurred during the process of a fan signing event polaroid photo giveaway. Park Gun-uk arbitrarily called out a different number than the one he had drawn.

Video footage containing the scene spread across SNS and online communities, leading to allegations that he provided benefits to a specific fan. This led to controversy over deceiving fans.

Meanwhile, ZEROBASEONE, which Park Gun-uk is part of, reorganized into a five-member team in February. Following that, they released their mini sixth album 'Ascend-'.
