[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo] Actor Park Bo-gum is taking on his first animation dubbing since his debut.
Distributor Lotte Entertainment revealed the dubbing cast for the film "David" (directed by Phil Cunningham and Brent Dos) on the 5th. Park Bo-gum, Jang Gwang, and Cha Ji-yeon participate.
"David" is an animation carrying a Christian message. It depicts the process of David, an ordinary shepherd, going through time in the wilderness and facing the fate of a king.
Park Bo-gum takes on the role of David. With his distinctive solid voice, he delicately portrays the protagonist's innocence and moments of determination. He also handles musical numbers in the film.
Park Bo-gum said, "I sympathized with David's boldness and message of hope" and "I hope it will be remembered as a work that conveys the courage to try and the perseverance to achieve."
Jang Gwang plays the prophet Samuel, who leads David toward the path of kingship. Cha Ji-yeon plays David's mother Nitzevet. She is a character who instills courage and faith.
Beyond this, voice actors Song Jun-seok and Si Young-jun each handle the dubbing for King Saul and Goliath. Through meticulous voice acting, they plan to maximize the immersion of the narrative.
Meanwhile, "David" opens on the 15th of next month.
