[Dispatch=Lee Ajin Reporter] BTS has set another new record in the global music market.
According to Spotify's latest chart (counting period May 29–June 4), BTS topped the 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart with their fifth studio album 'Arirang'.
This marks their eighth consecutive number-one on that chart alone. They achieved a record for the most number-one positions on the 'Weekly Top Albums Global' chart this year. They surpassed pop star Bad Bunny's record.
They are maintaining their presence on the weekly music chart as well. The title track 'Swim' held 4th place on the 'Weekly Top Songs Global' chart. All 12 tracks on the album charted for the 11th consecutive week.
Their popularity remains strong on the daily music chart. It recorded 4th place on the 'Daily Top Songs Global' chart (as of June 4). It has maintained its top position for 77 consecutive days.
European and Oceania album charts are also filled with BTS. 'Arirang' landed at 33rd on the UK Official Charts (June 5–11) 'Official Albums Top 100'. It jumped five spots from the previous week.
It continues its momentum on the German Official Music Chart (as of June 5). It recorded 6th place on 'Top 100 Albums'. It marked 11 consecutive weeks in the 'Top 10'.
It made an upward reversal on the Australian ARIA Chart (as of June 1). It rose two spots on the 'Top 50 Albums' chart, reaching 6th place. On the 'Top 20 Vinyl Albums' chart, it climbed five positions and ranked 11th.
Critical praise also followed. On June 3rd, American music magazine 'Consequence' selected 'Swim' and 'Hooligan' as the best songs of the first half of 2026 simultaneously.
'Consequence' praised them, saying "BTS is very adept at handling various genres" and "they clearly demonstrated their true worth through complex rap delivered over rough hip-hop beats".
Meanwhile, BTS will hold 'World Tour Arirang' at Busan Asiad Main Stadium over June 12–13.
