[Dispatch=Lee Myung-ju Reporter] SEVENTEEN's new unit 'V8' has joined hands with global producers.
V8 will release its first mini album 'V8' on the 29th. The album expresses the wandering and confusion from past times and the moments of recovery and growth found within them as 'spent youth'.
The agency said, "'Spent youth' does not simply mean lost time," adding that it "contains the energy of endlessly moving forward, sublimated into explosive freedom."
Top-tier creators were involved in this project. Pharrell Williams participated in the album work. Williams is a musician who won 14 Grammy Awards.
Bumzu also helped with V8's debut. As the creator behind numerous SEVENTEEN hit songs, he won the copyright award for three consecutive years at the Korean Music Copyright Association awards ceremony.
Artists active in the domestic and international electronic music market also lent their support. Kirara, Mecatok, 100 Gecs' Dylan Brady, DPR Arctic and others were credited.
Beyond this, collaborations with musicians of various genres were carried out. Alice Longyu Gao, Bad Tories, Han Jung-in, Jake Torrey, Rosy Bones, Sophie Katz, Stella Smith and others.
V8 establishes itself as a 'creative duo'. Through team activities and individual work so far, it has earned recognition for its original sensibility. It is expected to demonstrate unpredictable synergy.
Meanwhile, V8 is comprised of SEVENTEEN's THE 8 and Vernon. Along with releasing the new album, it will meet fans through a solo concert.
