[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yoon] The film 'Hope' (Director Na Hong-jin) has confirmed its release date.

According to Plus M Entertainment, 'Hope' confirms its release on the 15th of next month and will meet audiences. 'Hope' is an invited film in the competition section of the 79th Cannes Film Festival and is the new work of Director Na Hong-jin, who has continually taken on new challenges with each project.

'Hope' achieved the distinction of being pre-sold to over 200 countries and regions worldwide, drawing keen interest even before its release. In particular, it received positive reviews from critics worldwide following its world premiere.

'Hope' depicts the story that unfolds when Beom-seok (played by Hwang Jung-min), the head of the Hopogang Station located in the Demilitarized Zone, hears from young people in the neighborhood that a tiger has appeared.

From start to finish, it races forward with unpredictable rhythm and tempo, radiating explosive energy. It is set to deliver the highest caliber of cinematic experience to enjoy at theaters this summer.

Director Na Hong-jin prepared meticulously over a long period. Following its presentation in Cannes last month, he focused on strengthening the CG. The film is classified as suitable for ages 15 and up. The runtime is 160 minutes in total. In North America, its release in September has been confirmed.
