Melon Music Award to be held in November… "First time ever, two-day event"

Melon announced on the 9th that "'2026 Melon Music Awards' (hereinafter 'MMA 2026') will be held on November 14-15 at Seoul's Gocheok Skydome."

This is the first time the awards ceremony will be held over two days. An official explained, "This is an attempt to establish it as the greatest festival of K-pop."

The core keyword for 'MMA 2026' is 'Connect.' The main slogan has been set as 'K-pop Connect: The New Pulse.'

It expresses the moment when fans around the world become one through K-pop. It also carries the meaning of becoming a starting point of new movement for artists and fandoms.

For this awards ceremony, the 'Global K-Chart' will be linked with some award categories. This chart is an integrated chart of Korea, China, and Japan that launched on the 1st.

An official said, "'MMA' is completed through the data and fan participation that Melon has accumulated over 22 years," and "We will advance as an awards ceremony for K-pop fans around the world."

Meanwhile, 'MMA' is a music awards ceremony that began in 2005. Awards are given through Melon's music streaming usage data, listener voting, and expert judging.
