[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myeong-ju] Actor Kim Myung-soo begins an emotion transfer romance.
Walt Disney Company Korea announced on the 9th that "the new series 'Empathy Cell' (screenplay by Jeongyeon and Kim Sung-rae, directed by Kim Chil-bong) will premiere on the 7th of next month."
'Empathy Cell' is a romantic comedy. It tells the story of a woman who denies empathy and a man who carries empathy invading each other's worlds through 'emotion transfer.'
Kim Myung-soo plays the role of Cha Eun-hwan, a psychological counselor. Eun-hwan is a person who excessively carries the emotions of others. The complex inner world is depicted delicately.
Kang Min-a plays Ji-an Yoo, a top star from a national girl group. She has been thriving since her debut, but falls into ruin in an instant and becomes entangled with Eun-hwan.
Besides that, Kwon So-hyun was cast as Han Ji-jin, Ji-an's rival, and Shin Woo-kyum was cast as Dong-gyeong, Eun-hwan's close friend. The unique combination adds vitality.
The production team expressed confidence that "the process of two people with completely different backgrounds, occupations, and personalities coming to understand each other will captivate viewers."
Meanwhile, 'Empathy Cell' will be available on Disney+ every Saturday and Sunday starting the 4th of next month.
