fromis_9, New Model for 'Mimca'...Targeting Global K-pop Fandom

[Dispatch=Reporter Ku Min-ji] fromis_9 has become the model for the idol trading card 'miimca'.

Trading card specialist company 'Break&Company' (CEO Lee Ki-sun) recently unveiled a new campaign called '2026 TereCard K-pop Card First Wave' (hereinafter 'TereCard Wave').

Through the TereCard Wave, the company is expanding the K-pop IP-based trading card market. Beyond merchandise, the project was designed with the aim of elevating K-pop IP-based trading cards into a major industry.

fromis_9 marks the official beginning. It will be released as a 'miimca' fan box and limited edition. Pre-orders will be held from the 10th through the 14th at frommstore.

Pre-order customers will also receive promotional cards in limited quantities. The cards capture everything from the members' charismatic charm to their cute sides. The diverse composition maximizes collecting appeal.

The offline response was enthusiastic. During the '2026 Korea Card Culture Fair' (KCCF) held on the 6th and 7th, fromis_9 miimca pre-orders were available. Fans gathered in large numbers before opening to secure limited edition cards.

Break&Company also hinted at a lineup of global K-pop artists to be released later at the event. Anticipation for the next collection was heightened. The lineup is scheduled to be announced this month.

Trading cards differ from existing photo cards. They are produced only as limited editions in formats recognized in the global market. Cards sell out quickly upon release.

In particular, rare cards containing actual relics (relic) are a key feature. They have established themselves as high-value collectible collections. Card collecting culture spanning Pokémon, sports, and more is spreading globally.

Break&Company is creating and expanding Korean IP as trading cards. TereCard functions as a gateway through which global collectors newly enter K-pop fandom.

CEO Lee Ki-sun explained, "There is a great opportunity at the point where photo card culture familiar to K-pop fans meets global trading card culture that pursues collecting enjoyment and value."

He added, "Through the TereCard Wave, we will create a flow where all Korean IP is launched as cards through TereCard, and collectors worldwide become fans of K-IP."
