[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo] Broadcaster An Seon-yeong has apologized for publicly criticizing the administrator of an English proficiency test.
An Seon-yeong posted a lengthy apology on social media on the 10th. This came a day after she shared her story about being denied entry after arriving one minute late to an international standardized English test.
She wrote, "It is entirely my fault for arriving late without adequately familiarizing myself with the test regulations," and "I apologize to those in charge of administering the test."
Regarding the critical post she had made, she said, "I posted the message emotionally out of disappointment. Afterward, I judged it to be a hasty action on my part and deleted it."
An Seon-yeong visited the test site on the 9th to take the IELTS. Although the test time was 9 a.m., she was denied entry due to the regulation requiring arrival 10 minutes before the exam.
She had criticized the test administrator, saying she was unable to take the test because of arriving one minute late. She reflected, "Through the feedback and opinions of many people, I have reconsidered my shortcomings."
Meanwhile, An Seon-yeong is a former female comedian from MBC's 11th public recruitment. She has been active traveling between the two countries due to her son's studies in Canada since last year.
