[Dispatch=Reporter Jung Tae-yun] Actors Nam Joo-hyuk and Noh Yoon-seo present a fresh worldview.
Netflix's new series 'Dongung' confirmed its release for the 17th of next month. A poster was unveiled on the 12th. Nam Joo-hyuk was stepping into a pitch-black pond with his body tied in rope.
He had a bundle of peach branches on his back. A dark and ominous red aura approached his side. With the tagline "Beyond the boundary of reality into the world of ghosts," it hinted at a mysterious narrative.
'Dongung' tells the story of Gucheon (played by Nam Joo-hyuk), who has the ability to traverse between the world of ghosts, and Saenggang (played by Noh Yoon-seo), a court lady who holds secrets. They are summoned by the king (played by Jo Seung-woo) and unearth the curse that dwells in Dongung.
Gucheon, played by Nam Joo-hyuk, is a character who moves between the real world and the world of ghosts, slaying spirits. Saenggang, whom Noh Yoon-seo will play, can hear the voices of ghosts. The two approach the curse and its secrets that have permeated the palace.
Jo Seung-woo acts as the king who summons Gucheon and Saenggang to the palace. It is set to complete the narrative even more richly. 'Dongung' can be found on Netflix on the 17th of next month.
