[Dispatch=Myeong-ju Lee] BOYNEXTDOOR has made a strong impact on the Japanese charts. Their first full-length album has topped major local charts.
According to the latest Japan Oricon count as of the 16th, BOYNEXTDOOR claimed the No. 1 spot on the "Weekly Album Ranking" with their debut full-length album "HOME".
"HOME" sold 159,000 copies during its first week of release in Japan. It surpassed 130,000 copies on the first day and topped the "Daily Album Ranking".
The new album is a work in which BOYNEXTDOOR sincerely expressed emotions and memories experienced since debut. They completed an autobiographical album infused with various emotions.
Unlike previous works, which featured contributions from some members, all members participated in this album. They demonstrated their further evolved musical capabilities.
The group also achieved four consecutive first-week million-seller status. "HOME" sold 1,085,715 copies in first-week sales based on Hanteo Chart.
The title track "VIRAL" is also gaining popularity. It reached No. 68 on the Melon daily chart on its first day of release. The ranking subsequently climbed to No. 33 as of the 14th.
Meanwhile, BOYNEXTDOOR will appear at the 35th Seoul Music Awards held on the 20th at Inspire Arena in Yeongjongdo, Incheon.
