[Dispatch=Myung-ju Lee] Lisenne is targeting overseas expansion with government support.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism announced on the 16th its plan to push forward the "Small and Medium-sized Music Labels' Global Leap Support" project. The project supports overseas market entry for small and medium-sized popular music labels.
Ten teams were selected in this recruitment. In addition to Lisenne, xikers, TuneX, Kiras, CantBeBlue, 82Major, Big Ocean, U.S. Pier, Exshin, and Eighturn are included.
The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism selects 10 small and medium-sized labels annually and provides approximately 300 million won per year. Labels that have shown results can receive support for up to three years after relevant evaluation.
The feature is that it is designed to allow flexible use of resources according to the label's needs and strategy, unlike the existing support fund which could only be used in limited areas such as album production.
The ten teams will launch overseas activities through the support project. Lisenne will meet global fans riding the "Geoje Yahoo" boom. It will focus on activities in Japan and the United States.
xikers is also targeting the Japanese market. TuneX takes the stage in Mumbai, India. Kiras is planning a Malaysia showcase and Asia fan meetings.
