[Dispatch=Myeong-ju Lee Reporter] CL is leaving the entertainment industry.

CL posted a lengthy message on SNS on the 16th. "I thought it was right to inform everyone who supported me directly," she began.

She decided to retire after 10 years of activities. She said, "During 10 years of activities, I was happy and grateful for every moment for the excessive love and support from fans," bowing her head.

She continued, "During my activities, I spent more time thinking about the past, present, and future. After much deliberation, I decided to live a life as an ordinary person."

Regarding her past entertainment activities, she expressed regret, saying, "I suffered from emptiness and anxiety," and "I only avoided rather than making efforts to overcome negative emotions."

CL wrote, "I wasted time on meaningless moments and human relationships that were nothing but shells," adding, "Now I will pursue a happy future."

She also said, "I apologize for not being able to give answers to those who reached out with sincere support and concern, but I will cherish that grateful heart you sent me."

She plans to faithfully fulfill the remaining group schedules. CL concluded, "I sincerely thank you for the support you have given me so far. I wish everyone happiness."

CL became known through Mnet's "Produce 101 Season 1" in 2016. Her debut with CL was confirmed during the survival show. She also worked as an actress.
