[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] Actor Kim Nam-gil ventures into the dreams of villains.
The SBS-TV new drama 'Nightmare' (screenplay by Kim Gyu-won, directed by Lee Dan) released a special teaser on the 17th. It began with the narration of the protagonist Kim Tae-i (played by Kim Nam-gil).
Kim Tae-i is a detective who has ended a long undercover operation and returned to the Southern Police Station. Incidents and accidents occurred in various places, but no one was punished.
As a result, a vigilante group was formed that locks these criminals not in prison but in nightmares. Tae-i hinted at his activities with the line, "We will find you, in your dreams."
The drama is a justice-serving investigation thriller. The setting is that criminals who cannot be imprisoned are punished through 'nightmares.' It depicts the collaboration between a detective and a nightmare designer.
Kim Nam-gil's next project drew attention. That makes sense, as Kim Nam-gil won the Grand Prize at the 'SBS Drama Awards' for the 'Priest' series and 'Those Who Read Evil Hearts.'
The production team stated, "Kim Nam-gil will traverse dreams and reality to open a new horizon in refreshing revenge dramas" and "You will be able to encounter deep humanity and stories beyond."
Meanwhile, 'Nightmare' is scheduled to air early next year.
