[Dispatch=Lee Myung-joo] IVE's Wonyoung continues to fight against malicious commenters.
Starship Entertainment posted a notice titled "Notice of Situation Regarding Legal Response to Artist Rights Infringement" on social media on the 18th.
The agency has been taking legal action against malicious posts targeting Wonyoung. In some cases, suspects have been identified.
For domestic platforms, warrant procedures are underway to secure subscriber information. For overseas platforms, international cooperation procedures are being pursued.
A Starship official said, "We are continuously collecting evidence of posts and actions that infringe on the artist's rights."
The official added, "We are taking strong legal action against illegal activities including insult, defamation, spreading false information, and privacy invasion."
The agency concluded by warning, "Regardless of whether measures such as post deletion, account deactivation, or private conversion are taken afterwards, we will pursue legal responsibility to the end."
Starship has actually led to guilty verdicts against malicious commenters. Tal-deok Suyongso is a prime example. A cyber attacker who produced a video attacking Wonyoung.
Wonyoung's side took civil and criminal legal action against Tal-deok Suyongso. After three trials, a guilty verdict was finalized. The sentence is two years in prison with three years suspended.
Meanwhile, IVE, to which Wonyoung belongs, will take the stage at the celebratory concert for the "2026 Daegu World Masters Athletics Championship" to be held on August 21.
