[Dispatch=Reporter Lee Myung-ju] BTS's RM introduces Korea's cultural heritage to the world.
The National Museum of Korea announced on the 20th, "RM has been appointed as a global ambassador for the National Museum of Korea. He will participate in various promotional activities for the museum."
This is the first time the National Museum of Korea has appointed a global ambassador. The ambassador takes on the role of promoting the value of Korean traditional culture domestically and internationally.
RM visited the National Museum of Korea on the 19th after being appointed as ambassador. He viewed the exhibition "Danwon Kim Hong-do, Painting the Era" with National Museum of Korea Director Yu Hong-jun.

The National Museum of Korea presented RM with a cultural product, a "Daedongyeojido Scroll Special Edition." It is a scaled-down version of the original "Daedongyeojido."
RM said, "I am pleased to be appointed as ambassador," and added, "I will work together so that the beauty and value of our cultural heritage can reach more people."
He has shown consistent interest in traditional culture and art. He donated 200 million won for the preservation of cultural properties located overseas. It was used for the conservation and restoration work of Joseon-era wedding robes.
He also contributed to the production of a catalog introducing Korean painting works. In October, he will also open a special exhibition of art collection at the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art in the United States.
Meanwhile, BTS, to which RM belongs, will perform at the halftime show of the North American World Cup final held at the New York New Jersey Stadium in the United States next month on the 19th.
