It's not all sour. The eight members come together to deliver a sweet taste as well. Jiwoo emphasized, "The differentiator of our summer song lies in the message that it shines when we're together."

Hearts2Hearts held a showcase for their second mini album 'Lemon Tang' at Blue Square Woori Won Banking Hall in Yongsan-gu, Seoul on the 22nd in the afternoon.

The new album contains six tracks including 'RUDE', which was released in February. It's an album containing the members' energy that shines freely like a fresh summer day.

Along with the title track of the same name, the tracks are '15-Love', 'All Firsts', 'heart emoji', 'Secret Recipe', and 'RUDE'.

Stella said, "Because many people loved 'RUDE', we've been busy in the first half of the year. We achieved rookie awards and number one on music charts," and added, "This time we plan to show refreshing energy."

In keeping with the team name, hearts are hidden throughout all the tracks. Jiwoo revealed, "It's an album that is sincere about hearts. There will be fun in finding the 'hearts' contained in each song."

The title track combines the sour taste of lemon with 'Tang,' which means a sharp, tangy taste and flavor. The refreshing summer sensibility that bursts and the upbeat, vibrant sound are impressive.

Yuha shared the reason for selecting the title track: "When I heard the demo, it immediately felt like summer. I thought it was the most fitting song to convey Hearts2Hearts' bright energy."

The lyrics convey the story that when alone, one is like a lemon—sour and sharp—but when you and I meet, we become 'Lemon Tang' with a sour-sweet appeal. It calls for us to always be together as 'we'.

Following the members' signature tracks 'Focus', 'The Chase', and 'Style', Kenji took on the lyrics once again. Jiwoo said, "He captured the 'we' message that we wanted to express in the lyrics."

She continued, "When a lemon is alone, it's sour and tangy, but when it's together with other ingredients, doesn't it create various tastes? We also shine more brightly when we're together," she emphasized.

The music video was shot in Okinawa, Japan. With the blue sea, beach, and lemon farm as backdrops, the members displayed their refreshing appeal to the fullest. It was also the members' first overseas location shoot.

Ian hinted, "It's a story where the youngest member Ye-on falls for a boy driving a lemon truck. The way she's surprised after falling for him is so cute. Please pay attention to Ye-on's acting."

The members also showcased a 'Lemon Tang' stage that day. Fresh energy burst over bouncy rhythms. Their signature sharp choreography was further upgraded.

The point choreography featured movements as if squeezing a lemon with the hands. Hearts2Hearts' signature 4-to-4 symmetrical structure and straight line formation could be seen again this time.

Juun said, "This time too, choreographer Jo Nain participated in the choreography for 'Focus' and 'RUDE'," and emphasized, "Like our team name, we prepared hard to deliver a message that goes from heart to heart."

Previously, aespa made a comeback with 'Lemonade'. Hearts2Hearts and aespa now share a lemon universe. What different taste will Hearts2Hearts serve compared to aespa's lemon?

Jiwoo said, "I recently met senior Karina, and she said it's interesting that we're making a comeback with the same subject matter," and pointed out, "If aespa is a sharp sour taste, we are a refreshingly sweet taste."

They inherit SM Entertainment's summer song legacy. Jiwoo said, "Since I enjoy listening to our seniors' music, it would be fun if we inherit that legacy," and requested, "Please focus on the refreshing, cool melody and the message of 'together'."

The new album's goal is to become a 'summer song' that everyone acknowledges. Carmen said, "If the first half was 'RUDE', we want to be loved with 'Lemon Tang' this time," and hoped, "We want to make this year Hearts2Hearts' year."

If 'RUDE' drew attention with Stella's haughty rap, this time the members are confident in all their parts. Yuha added, "I think each member has a good vocal color. That appeal is more evident in 'Lemon Tang'. Every part is a killing part."

Meanwhile, Hearts2Hearts will release 'Lemon Tang' on major music streaming sites at 6 p.m. today.
